⚓ We are back in the port of Licata
🛟 The crew had an intense time, which was mainly characterized by waiting and being ready at all times. As previously reported, we spent a lot of time on a mirror-smooth sea and worried about why no boats were setting off. We assume that people have already been stopped in Tunisia and Libya.
🧭 Such “silent” deployments have the potential to be very draining for the crew. Being constantly on standby without actually being able to support people sometimes saps your strength. But our crew members dealt with it calmly because they know: We were there, we did what we could do.
👋 Now the Trotamar III is being prepared for its next mission in the port of Licata. The crew ends the mission with a psychological and organizational debriefing. Our new crew will be arriving the week after next to prepare for our next deployment in the Mediterranean.
