Here we go! Our crew has left Lampedusa and is heading towards the central Mediterranean. This means that we are now in the area of operations, keeping watch for boats in distress.

Due to the poor weather conditions, some crew members have struggled with seasickness over the past few days. Overall, however, the mood on board is good: The crew is well prepared and fully operational.

This is the Thetis II’s very first mission as a rescue boat. On board this vessel, we are sailing against Fortress Europe and for a Mediterranean in which no one has to die.

We demand safe routes for people on the move and freedom of movement for everyone!
