Our crew has made its way south to keep looking for boats in distress off the coast of Tunisia.
While spending a lot of time on deck with binoculars, the wind was in our favor: The Thetis II was able to sail a large part of the journey without using the engine.
On Tuesday, @alarmphone alerted us to a case in the Tunisian SRR. Unfortunately, the boat got pulled back by the Tunisian Navy before our crew was able to arrive on scene.
On Wednesday Sea Bird from @seawatch reported a wooden boat, which our crew followed throughout the night in order to be able to provide support in an emergency. As we were unable to catch up with the boat, we assume that they were stable enough to make it on their own.
The crew remains at sea. If we spot a boat in distress or receive a distress call, we are ready to act immediately.
