TROTAMAR III – DISEMBARKATION ON LAMPEDUSA
The crew of the Trotamar III has disembarked all rescued people safely on Lampedusa.
Our sailing ship was underway to Lampedusa for almost a day – with 62 people on board, rescued from an unseaworthy rubber boat on Tuesday evening. During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Sea Eye 5 from @seaeye_org was able to rescue the remaining 31 people from the rubber boat.
As the Trotamar III was moored at the ferry pier, the crew was able to experience a special situation today: The people who were disembarked yesterday boarded the ferry to Sicily or the Italian mainland alreday today and everyone was able to wave goodbye.
We wish them all the best for their journey in Europe!
