Our crew has arrived in Licata! Falk, João, Kit, Nora and Tobi, together with skipper Matthias, have already started the preparations for our first deployment in 2025.
The crew members got to know our sailing boat, the Trotamar III, and distributed the positions on board. During a safety briefing, everyone received their personal safety equipment: Lifejacket, helmet and lifeline, which they can use to tie themselves to the boat in choppy conditions or during manoeuvers.
In an initial training session in the Licata harbour basin, the crew familiarized themselves with the dinghy. Further training will take place over the next few days so that we can sail out onto the central Mediterranean Sea as soon as possible to support People on the Move.
