Cast off
April 7, 2025 | Cast off
The Trotamar III has left the port of Licata – with a nice goodbye from @sea eye. Our ship has now set course for the island of Linosa. The crew will continue their training there so that they are well prepared for their deployment.
All our deployments are financed by donations. Can you help us continue our work on the Central Mediterranean Sea? Donate now!
April 8, 2025 | Trainings on Linosa
The Trotamar III has arrived on Linosa and is anchored on the west side of the island. There, the crew members practise possible rescue scenarios that could await them during the deployment.
Safe handling of the dinghy is particularly important for our deployment. The dinghy team therefore practises approaching different types of rescue boats and handing out life jackets to people in distress at sea. We also train how to use the centifloats, rescue hoses several meters long.
If the wind and waves allow, we want to set off as quickly as possible to the central Mediterranean Sea to help people in distress at sea.
