After spending the last weeks getting the Trotamar III ready for the new year, we are now starting our first deployment of 2026. Lynn, Matz, Jan, Paul, Matthias, and our skipper Ina are part of this deployment. Over the next few weeks, the six of them will be supporting civil sea rescue in the mediterranean sea on our sailboat.

However, accompanying people on their way to Europe is not something you do incidentally. That’s why the new crew has been preparing intensively for the mission since thursday. Who assumes responsibility for which task on the boat? What needs to be considered for safety on board? How can we prepare ourselves emotionally for stressful situations? All these questions are clarified in advance in order to be as well prepared as possible.
