he final preparations are complete, the weather is perfect, and this morning the second crew of the year set sail! The departure procedure was discussed, the equipment got checked one final time, and then the Trotamar III left the port of Licata.

Now the crew is heading south to Lampedusa. The island is their final stop on the way to the area of operations. On the way there, the crew can get used to the open sea and complete further training exercises.

The past few days in the Mediterranean have once again been marked by the criminalization of civilian sea rescue operations. This makes it all the more important that we take action now and show that the #JusticeFleet won’t be intimidated!
