We remain in the area of operations, looking for boats in distress. Our most important tool for this are our binoculars. With great concentration, our crew tries to spot small dots on the horizon, which is a major challenge, especially when the sea is rough.

This morning we were informed about a boat in distress off the Libyan coast, and we immediately joined the search. However, we now have reason to believe that the people on this boat were victims of a pushback carried out by the so-called Libyan Coast Guard. It is a disgrace that the EU continues to support these militias with equipment, training, and information, despite documented human rights violations and attacks on civilian rescue vessels!
