This morning, all 18 people were able to disembark in Lampedusa! After taking a big step onto the high ferry pier, they finally have European soil beneath their feet. Their search for a life of safety is probably not over yet, but they have covered a significant portion of the journey.

We wish them all the strength, perseverance, and good friends they will need to stand up to the EUropean border regime, until it is no longer necessary. The Trotamar III and the Compass Collective were able to support these people at a crucial moment, but we hope that as they continue on their journey, they will meet many more people who stand in solidarity with them and will help to welcome them to Europe!
