Three civilian rescue vessels are currently detained by the Italian government. The GEO BARENTS @aerzteohnegrenzen, SEA EYE 4 @seaeye_org and the SEA WATCH 5 @seawatchcrew are currently unable to rescue people in distress at sea because they are being detained in ports for many days on trumped up charges related to rescue operations.
We demand an immediate end to the politically motivated prevention of sea rescues!
Today, Friday, there will be actions in various places, together with many other organizations we demand: #freethefleet
