Last weekend our new crew has arrived in Licata!
Kathi, Clara, Mattia, Kenneth and Sari will join skipper Johannes for our second deployment in 2025. As our second skipper, Johannes will be the head of deployment on our sailing boat Trotamar III for the first time.
The crew has already started training in perfect weather: In the Licata harbour basin, the FLINTA* dinghy team is familiarizing itself with our dinghy. Before a deployment, we always practice various maneuvers that we will probably have to perform during a rescue.
Over the next few days, the crew will continue to prepare for various rescue scenarios in order to come tot he help of people fleeing across the Mediterranean Sea as soon as possible.
