Setting sail to search and rescue
We have set sail and are on our way to area of operation! After many training sessions in Licata and on Linosa, our crew is now well prepared to come to the aid of people fleeing across the Mediterranean Sea.
The Mediterranean Sea is still one of the deadliest migrant routes in the world. 2024 marks a sad climax as the deadliest year ever for migrants.
The presence of the #CivilFleet on the migration routes in the Mediterranean Sea is therefore still extremely important! We support people who have to flee from hunger, misery, war, displacement and rape and try to alleviate their suffering.
We need safe migration routes instead of fortress Europe!
