Yesterday we accompanied a boat in distress at sea with around 60 people. A few hours later, the Italian coastguard responded to our Mayday Relay and sent a rescue ship that brought all the people safely to Lampedusa.
Our deployment on the central Mediterranean Sea is now coming to an end. The Trotamar III has set course for Sicily again. There, the crew will tidy up the boat and take their time to debrief the deployment.
