Sailing to the SAR zones!
The Trotamar III has left the port of Lampedusa the day bevore yesterday and is now on her way to the SAR zones. Our volunteer crew has now been preparing for more than a week to look out for distress cases at sea and come to the aid of people on their dangerous journey across the central Mediterranean Sea.
In recent weeks, two small rescue ships of the Civil Fleet have been detained. This is a scandal! These ships are saving people from drowning while the authorities are looking the other way. We stand in solidarity with Resqship and Sea Eye and demand an immediate end to the European policy of isolation!
