Our new crew arrived!
Our new crew has arrived at our appartment in Licata: David, Gauthier, Lara, Manon, and Rosy from France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. For the first time, we will be sailing with a French-speaking crew!
Together with skipper Matthias, the crew is now starting to prepare. At the beginning, this mainly involves briefings on board our ship Trotamar III so that all crew members are familiar with the boat’s general equipment, rescue equipment, and safety rules on board. Separate briefings are also provided for our co-skipper and the technician.
Over the next few days, the crew will begin training in the harbour basin of Licata so that we can sail out onto the Central Mediterranean as soon as possible to assist people in distress at sea.
All our deployments are financed by donations. Can you help us cover the costs?
