The crew for our next deployment has arrived in Licata! Astrid, Dhara, Hiba, Maria, and Rob, together with skipper Johannes, will be supporting the Civil Fleet in the central Mediterranean Sea over the next few weeks.
We are delighted to be able to start our next deployment after our sailboat Trotamar III was detained by the Italian authorities for almost two weeks. In a fast-track decision, the court in Agrigento, Sicily, declared the detention unlawful and also suspended the associated fine.
Our volunteer crew is now training in the harbour basin of Licata so that they can set sail to support people on the move as soon as possible.
