After a long period of preparation and final shipyard work, we were able to leave Licata, Sicily, today. This marks the end of our winter break, and we can finally set sail again to support people on their journey to Europe. The first deployment of the year is always particularly exciting because we have to get the entire boat back into operational condition after the time in the shipyard. This sometimes involves a lot of chaos and a thousand little projects all at once (especially in such a small space). But now everything is ready, and we can head out with a good feeling. First, we’re going in the direction of Lampedusa.
