We are now ready for our deployment and actively searching for boats in distress!

Out on the open sea, the dinghy team practiced all of their maneuvers one more time, as every move has to be perfect in an emergency situation. With that, all training was complete, and the crew was ready to sail into the search and rescue zone (SAR zone).

This morning we stopped in Lampedusa, refueled briefly, and are now underway in the so-called “Tunisian Corridor,” keeping an eye out for boats that need assistance.
