We’re back in the port of Licata.
An intense deployment has come to an end. Over the past few weeks, Martino, Nora, Laura, Mo, Loren and skipper Ina have been preparing, training and searching for people in distress at sea.
This was our first time operating with the Thetis II, which made the preparation phase particularly challenging. Stormy weather meant we were able to set sail frequently, but it also meant that we reached the operational area later than planned.
Our crew responded to two distress calls and remained on standby in the operational area throughout the deployment, ready to provide support whenever needed.
The crew is now wrapping up the fourth mission of the year with an operational and psychological debriefing. The Thetis II is being cleaned up and prepared for the next rotation.
Our work depends on donations. If you can, please support us.
