The following data protection provisions inform you about the processing of personal data when you use this website.

2. collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of its use

a) Log files

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted after 4 days at the latest:

  • Your IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • URLs or files accessed
  • the website from which you accessed our website (so-called referrer URL)
  • the operating system and browser you are using
  • Your internet service provider (via which you access our website)
  • other similar data and information used for security purposes in the event of attacks on our information technology systems

We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability
  • Protection against misuse and unauthorized access

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes listed above. We do not use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. This data is also not merged with other data. However, we reserve the right to check the log files retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

b) Web tracking tool Webalizer

Our website uses the web analysis software “Webalizer” for the purpose of statistically evaluating access by our users. Webalizer analyzes the connection data listed under point 2. lit. a) and creates overviews, for example, of the pages accessed and files downloaded. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Through this type of web tracking analysis, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

These evaluations are not merged with other data sources, in particular with personal data. The information generated by web tracking is stored by our provider in Germany. It is not passed on to third parties.

3. rights of data subjects

If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights with respect to the controller

  • In accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on its details;
  • in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us
  • in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interestor for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller
  • in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, to revoke your consent to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
  • to file a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR. Usually, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters.

4. right to object

In accordance with Art. 21 paragraph 1 GDPR, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR; this also applies to profiling based on this provision. When exercising this objection, you must provide us with your personal reasons why we should not process your personal data. We will examine your objection and either discontinue or adapt the data processing or show you compelling reasons on our part worthy of protection on the basis of which we may continue the processing.

 

If personal data concerning you is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of direct advertising - which is not the case on our website - you have the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising at any time without giving reasons in accordance with Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
