Our sailing boat TROTAMAR III is used for three-week observation deployments, during which we document human rights violations, keep an eye out for maritime emergencies and assist in rescue missions by larger (rescue) ships. Setting sail!
After a long period of preparation and final shipyard work, we were able to leave Licata, Sicily, today. This marks the end of our winter break, and we can finally set sail again to support people on their journey to Europe. Test drive with the new engine
Thanks to your support, we were able to install a new engine during this year’s shipyard. We weren’t sure whether we could really rely on the old engine in the future, so we replaced it. Now the new engine is finally in the boat and we got to try it out yesterday in beautiful sunshine.

Our new crew is ready to go!
After spending the last weeks getting the Trotamar III ready for the new year, we are now starting our first deployment of 2026. Lynn, Matz, Jan, Paul, Matthias, and our skipper Ina are part of this deployment. Over the next few weeks, the six of them will be supporting civil sea rescue in the mediterranean
