UPDATE TROTAMAR III – 2023/10/30 – 3.30pm: Die Behörden haben uns offiziell den „Port of Safty“, also den Ort an dem die Menschen an Land gehen dürfen, mit Lampedusa zugewiesen. Wir sind sehr erleichtert und befinden uns auf dem direkten Kurs dorthin. Heute Nacht ist mit einer Ankunft dort zu rechnen.

UPDATE TROTAMAR III – 2023/10/30 – 12am: Mit den 20 Gästen an Bord – darunter 3 Frauen und 4 Kinder – ist die Crew der TROTAMAR III nun auf dem Weg Richtung Lampedusa, dem nächsten sicheren Hafen für die Menschen. Wir haben die Behörden unterdessen aufgefordert, uns einen „sicheren Hafen“ (einen offiziellen Port of Safety) zuzuweisen und die Rettung der Menschen zu unterstützen.
UPDATE TROTAMAR III – 2023/10/30 – 9am: Am frühen Morgen hat die Crew der TROTAMAR III ein kleines Boot mit 20 Personen, darunter 3 Frauen und 4 Kinder, erreicht. Es befand sich seit vielen Stunden schon wegen des schlechten Wetters im Schutze eines großen Frachtschiffes, das die Menschen aber nicht an Bord nahm. Der Motor des Geflüchtetenbootes ist defekt, damit ist das Boot manövirerunfähig. Das Wetter wird zunehmend schlechter. Die Menschen sind in Lebensgefahr.
Alle Personen befinden sich nun an Bord der TROTAMAR III und brauchen dringend Unterstützung von offizieller Seite.

UPDATE TROTAMAR III – 2023/10/30 – 9am: 20 people in distress now on board TROTAMAR III: In the early morning the crew of TROTAMAR III reached a small boat with 20 people, including 3 women and 4 children. It had been under the protection of a large cargo ship for many hours due to bad weather, but the ship did not take the people on board. The engine of the refugee boat is broken, so the boat is unable to maneuver. The weather is getting worse and worse. The people’s lives are in danger.
All people are now on board the TROTAMAR III and urgently need assistance.
