Manchmal gehören Schiffe einfach mal an Land: Für die Suche nach Kleinst-Leckagen wurde die TROTAMAR III mithilfe eines großen Krans aus dem Wasser geholt. An Bord gibt es allerhand zu tun, um das Schiff wieder fit für die nächsten Einsätze zu machen. Das Rigging – Stahlseile, die den Mast halten – werden erneuert. Diverse Wassereintrittsstellen werden gestopft und Winden wieder gangbar gemacht. Wir freuen uns sehr über die vielen helfenden Hände!
Um am Ende die Rechnungen bezahlen zu können, sind wir auf Spenden angewiesen. Die Reparatur- und Wartungsarbeiten kosten uns etwa 15.000 Euro. Kannst du helfen?

Sometimes ships simply belong on land: the TROTAMAR III was taken out of the water with the help of a large crane to search for small leaks. There is a lot to do on board to make the ship fit for its next deployment. The rigging – the steel cables that hold the mast – are being replaced. Various water inlets are being plugged and winches are being made operational again. We are very happy about the many helping hands!
