Three civilian rescue vessels are currently detained by the Italian government. The GEO BARENTS @aerzteohnegrenzen, SEA EYE 4 @seaeye_org and the SEA WATCH 5 @seawatchcrew are currently unable to rescue people in distress at sea because they are being detained in ports for many days on trumped up charges related to rescue operations.
We demand an immediate end to the politically motivated prevention of sea rescues!

The picture shows our next rescue crew, who are starting training on the ship today. In a few days, the TROTAMAR III will set sail again to support civilian sea rescue operations in the Mediterranea.
